The Story Of FH&L Autism Services

How We Started
FH&L Autism Services was started by a single owner whose aspirations were to provide the highest quality of services to the increasing demands for children with autism. FH&L was born in the Columbus area and for two years all aspects of the company were operated solely by the owner, Cheryl Jue.
Cheryl became a Masters Level Licensed Social Worker in 1989 and obtained her certification as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) in 2005. She went into homes in the Columbus area to provide quality therapeutic services utilizing ABA principles. She also provided consultation services within schools.

In 2007, she opened her first center in Gahanna. The center was a 1,300 square foot center that allowed for three therapy rooms, one gross motor room, staff offices, and a break room. It was at that time that therapeutic services were conducted by additional employees. Over the next three years, FH&L continued to grow in opportunities to serve the autistic population, as well as other special needs children.
In 2010, the company decided to expand to another location. FH&L continued expanding services within the home environment, and then in October 2011 a 5,000 square foot center was opened in Beavercreek, Ohio. The center was named FH&L Learning Center, and it provided a variety of therapeutic services to children between the ages of two and 22 years old.

In 2012 and 2013, FH&L began expanding services even further to include branches throughout Ohio. FH&L now provides services to Columbus, Zanesville, and other surrounding areas. Unfortunately, due to funding cuts, FH&L was forced to close the Beavercreek Center. Thankfully, FH&L was able to open a center in Pickerington, Ohio in September of 2015. FH&L also expanded into the Hilliard/Dublin area with the opening of a 4,200 square foot center in 2017.
Due to growth and expansion, FH&L moved out of a smaller Pickerington Center and is in the process of secured a new and larger facility which will open in Pickerington in the 2020. The new Pickerington Center will serve as the corporate headquarters for FH&L.
